Merodi Ongaku

Merodi Ongaku is a clover themed cyborg UTAU that is widely known for her versatile, mature feminine voice. She is bilingual having Japanese voicebanks and an English voicebank. She can fit any genre but is mostly affiliated with techno/EDM.

Personality

Merodi is known to be bubbly and cheerful with an outgoing personality. She's also known to be motherly and caring, though she also tends to ramble and worry if anxious. She loves to sing and dance using her body to the fullest and wanting to unite people with her voice. Always loves to perform on stage and try any genre. She also has a job as a gardener and loves to cook as well. Making sweets and cuisines for her husband, Rizumu Teion. Though Merodi can get rather impulsive when she feels like someone she loves or cares about is in danger or bullied. She doesn't hesitate to stand up for them. It's her motherly and nurturing instinct.

Abilities

Since Merodi is part cyborg and part plant, she has the abilities of clovers mostly. Able to do photosynthesis through her hair and the red clovers on her head. They reflect her mood and are bioluminescent in the dark. When she's asleep they close up and if she's having a bad day they look wilted. She can produce pollen from the red clovers, allowing bees and other pollinators to feed. Though sometimes if someone sneezes near her, she assumes it's her and she apologizes even if she isn't the reason. She can also fix nitrogen levels in soil by touching it, but it takes some time. She is able to thrive in poor conditions and is rather resilient thanks to her clover abilities.

Merodi is somewhat military trained, having her husband, Rizumu who teaches her as he is affiliated with the royal army. Merodi has a battle axe weapon of choice that is clover themed like her with two large blades on each side of the leaflets and a yellow wood sorrel in the center.

Backstory

Merodi began as a simple wav file on a certain Toshiba laptop that had a certain music program. Over time, the laptop had gathered vocal data on its owner's voice, thus feeding the wav file until they made a voice and then into an AI. However, the AI had gotten too powerful for the old, run down laptop to house it. It was feeding off its data and needed to be extracted asap. The laptop was brought into a company known as Monome Cybernetics, which specialize in android production using high tech and futuristic equipment. They also are known for their androids to have advanced human mimicry. They extracted the AI from the laptop into a female android vessel. However, before the transfer, the body was mishandled by a rookie scientist and had been contaminated from a plant DNA. Android bodies are made from special synthetic cells that will rapidly copy any organic DNA it comes into contact with, thus the damage would be irreversible. Plus female android bodies were more expensive to produce and required more material.

Merodi's body had been "ruined" by the plant DNA, and thus was unable to transfer. However, due to not wanting to waste the material, the AI was transferred anyway and miraculously merged well with it, giving the android different abilities. Merodi Ongaku was officially born into this new body, however many of her android abilities were corrupted due to the DNA, practically replacing her android abilities with clover abilities instead. She's been a hot topic with the scientists there of course. She was upgraded to be a cyborg than an android due to being half plant and half android. She had attended a special school known as UTAU Bilingual Music Academy (UBMA) and learned English and Japanese and how to sing in both. She started her career small in Harmony Town, but with help from Rizumu, she gradually became a local idol, loving to sing and dance and perform in general.
